Where are you located?

We are located at 1d Beach Street in New Plymouth. We are right beside Fitzroy Beach and on the Coastal Walkway. 

From the park, it's approximately a 30 minute walk or 10 minute bike ride the city centre.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy applies to the cancellation of an entire booking or any part of a booking. For bookings made directly, via phone, email, or our website (www.fitzroybeach.co.nz): If you cancel your booking at least 5 days prior to your arrival date, a 10% admin fee of the total booking value applies (a minimum fee of $20).

If you cancel your booking less than 5 days prior to your arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee applies. If you do need to cancel, please email [email protected] with details of your booking, and we can get that sorted for you.

How do I make changes to my booking?

To make a change to your booking, please contact our friendly staff on 06 758 2870 or email [email protected] and they will be able to help you.

What are your reception hours?

Our reception is open 7 days a week, 364 days a year (closed Christmas Day). We're open 9am - 6pm every day, with extended hours November to April. Current reception hours are displayed on the sign by the reception door.

Changes will be notified at our reception and on the contact page of our website.

What time can I check in?

Check-in is from 2 pm. If you would like to check in earlier than 2 pm, please give our friendly team a call to arrange on 06 758 2870. If you will be checking in later than 6 pm, please give us a call to let us know and organise key pick-up if required.

What time is check out?

Check out is 10 am. Late check-outs are subject to availability and can only be confirmed on arrival.

Do you take group bookings?

Our team is experienced in group bookings and will work with you to find the best accommodation options for your group. 

If you send an email to [email protected] outlining the details of your group, including dates, numbers and any special requirements, our team will aim to be back to you within 24 hours with a quote.

Can I book now and pay on arrival?

We require full prepayment for all online bookings. However, for direct bookings we can work with you for alternatives.

Do you allow pets?

Pets are welcome on site from 7 February to 20 December at a rate of $5 per pet per night, as long as we know in advance.

Pet owners must be respectful to other campers. Pets must always be kept on a leash around the park and actively supervised. Pets are not allowed in any of the park buildings including cabins, glamping tents, amenity blocks, and reception.

Please note, we do have allocated sites for people travelling with pets, so may not be able to accommodate site requests if you're bringing a pet.

What facilities do you have on site?

We have two communal facility blocks at Fitzroy Beach, with cooking facilities, fridges/freezers, and BBQ's available for your use.

Each block also has toilets, showers, and a guest laundry. To keep the kids entertained, there's a jumping pillow, a playground, and a trampoline.

Can I get a discount on my stay?

All Family Parks Travel Card holders receive a 10% discount on accommodation (up to $20 per stay on a site, $40 per stay in a cabin) as well as other great discounts nearby and around NZ. 

Otherwise, the best way to get a deal is by booking direct, so check out our website to find promotional deals and best prices.

Does my cabin come with bedding and towels?

Our deluxe cabins come with all bedding and towels. Our standard cabins come with bottom sheets, pillows & pillowcases, so you'll need to bring your own bedding (e.g. duvet, sleeping bag) and towels. 

Bedding is available to hire at $10.00 per bed/per night, and towels are $3.00 per person/per night. You can add these when you book online or if you've already booked, just get in touch and we can add these to your booking.

Is there parking available at my cabin or site?

Every cabin and site has a parking space for one vehicle at no extra charge. If you have a particularly large vehicle, trailer, or multiple vehicles, it helps to let us know in advance.

Can I have a site by the beach or with a sea view?

Although we're right by the beach, many of our sites and cabins don't have sea views due to both trees and sand dunes. From all sites and cabins, you're just minutes away from the great views and surf of Fitzroy Beach. 

If you want to be as close as possible to the beach and/or a sea view, add a note in your booking request, and we'll see what we can do.

Can I request a specific site or cabin?

We would love to know your preferences and requirements, but we cannot guarantee specific site or cabin numbers.

If you have particular site requirements (e.g. size, location, group bookings), please let us know at the time of booking, and we will do our best to allocate a suitable site.
